Can’t believe when wales won’t allow holidays they won’t refund your stay. Absolute disgusting. I loved premier inn but won’t book again after this.

I live in Manchester. I booked a room for 2 nights (21 and 22 August 2020) in Premier Inn Dorchester, all paid many weeks in advance, with the fact in their knowledge that I was there to work over the weekend in the local NHS hospital. I did not check in on for the 1st night and when I went to check in on the 2nd day, extremely tired after working all day, they told me that the room was no longer available. They had given my pre-paid room away (of course at a very high price) leaving me nowhere to stay, in the middle of nowhere, on the 1st weekend when hotels opened for public after the lock down and the last minute prices were sky high, while they knew that I was supposed to work the next day (followed by a 400 mile long drive back home). The duty manager lied to me that it was their policy. Funnily enough, they also charged for the first night in the name of "no show". I escalated the matter to their highest level of customer team, exchanged at least 15 emails and they were unable to provide me any explanation whatsoever as to why and how they can give my room away and yet charge me for a night I did not stay in. I have reported them to trading standards. I would strongly advise against booking this hotel chain who have absolutely no corporate ethics whatsoever.

Fantastic

I have just throughly enjoyed one, if not the best, nights at a hotel ever. I have stayed in the well known Birmingham hotel at £300 a night and a Bournemouth boutique hotel at £360. Yet at a mere £29 I had, for the first time ever, a soundless nights utterly comfortable sleep. The bathroom facilities were sparkling. I had a fantastic shower. It was a totally glorious experience.

My experience

I have been staying at the Premier Inn in Northampton Town centre for a while and I must commend the efforts, professionalism, friendliness, care and support received from the manager (katie), staffs (Thaynna) through to house keeping(Gosha) and the whole team. Simply amazing!

Well done Premier Inn

Well done Premier Inn. We were due to stay over the Christmas period and as soon as Covid rules changed and we were no longer allowed to travel between England and Scotland Premier Inn contacted us to say they would refund us. Excellent service in such trying times.

Premier Inn Leicester Square

Premier Inn Leicester Square. Excellent service, checked in a little early and no problem in doing so. Room was exceptionally clean and the manager came to check everything was ok. Breakfast was good, and staff very attentive. Excellent central location. Made very welcome and would definitely stay again, thanks to the staff working there even in these worrying times always smiles.

Premier Inn Dorchester gave my pre-paid room away, Can you believe it?

Not interested in safety during covid!

I would not be giving a star if I didn't have to! I have a booking for Leeds Premier Inn next Thursday when Leeds will be in Tier 3. I was advised that the hotel was still operating and I could still come and as such they would not amend my booking to a hotel in a safe area! I advised that I was coming to Leeds from out of tier 3 and it was the Government advice not to travel into a tier 3 area. Premier Inn said that that was not their guidelines they were still having people come and although I could log a complaint it would not be answered!!! So shocked at their disregard for customers safety!!!

Magic mattress - should have slept under it!

Hoped for a quick overnight at Ashford Central prior to an early train to France. All started well - room clean, meal at the restaraunt good - away to bed - then a waking nightmare. Room upstairs so dreadfully noisy, walking around, television, ongoing chatter - kept everyone awake until 3.00am. So a grumpy driver the next morning. Told the receptionist in the morning and wrote to Premier Inn under their good nights sleep guarantee programme. Apparently this only applies if you tell the receptionist in the middle of the night. Given there are no telephones in the room this entails getting up, getting dressed, going downstairs and finding the receptionist - I assume they will then go and knock on the door of the offending room and ask then to be quiet! The you go back upstairs get undressed again and hopefully go to sleep. It seems that telling them in the morning at 7.00am doesn't cut it. Thus why I should have slept under the mattress not on top of it. I emailed them and received blanket reply, I rang them and was told that I should have gone down and reported it at 2.30/3.00 in the morning. So Premier Inn I will now decamp to Travelodge and I would advise all others to do the same
